What's happening around Fernandina Beach this fall

The quiet part of summer is nearly over. Between the start of September and the end of October there is something on the calendar most weekends, and most of it happens within a few minutes of the store.

September

Sounds on Centre — Friday, September 4. Centre Street closes down and the music starts. It is free, it is outside, and it is the easiest way to spend a Friday evening downtown.

Sunset Concert Series — Sunday, September 27. Down at the waterfront, timed so the music and the sunset land together.

October

Sounds on Centre — Friday, October 2. The October edition, same format as September.

Amelia Island Hispanic Heritage Music & Food Festival — Saturday, October 10. Music, food and a good crowd.

Barktoberfest — Saturday, October 10. Same day, so plan accordingly if you want both. Bring the dog.

30th Annual 8-Flags Car Show — Saturday, October 17. Thirty years of this one. Downtown fills with cars and it is worth getting there early.

Walk For Water — Saturday, October 17. Also the 17th, also downtown-ish.

39th Taste of Amelia — Saturday, October 24. Local restaurants, one afternoon, historic downtown.

Then it is our turn

Once the last of these wraps up, we start turning the store over for Christmas. Our Annual Christmas Open House is the Saturday we paint the windows, put out appetizers and punch, and open the doors. The date for this year is not set yet — we will announce it on Facebook and Instagram first.

If you need something for one of these

Our gift shop runs on the same calendar the town does. Ahead of a car show or a festival weekend we usually have hand-painted door hangers and tea towels on the shelf, and if you are after something for a team, a reunion or a group heading to one of these together, we take custom shirt orders and do embroidery and monogramming in house. The A·I·F·B collection — the Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach monogram the store designed itself — is on the shelf in tees and Richardson hats.
